You're mid-song and need to tweak the drummer's EQ but you're three menu taps away. Or your announcement mic is buried on a different layer and you need to unmute it right now.
Custom Controls on the WING solve this. You can assign virtually any console function to a button or encoder, giving you instant access to the things you use most without navigating through menus mid-show.
One of my favorite setups: put your announcement wireless on an encoder with a mute button right below it. No matter what fader layer you're on, you can unmute and adjust the level instantly. Same idea works great for Spotify or background music playback.

Custom Controls on the WING give you one-tap access to any function on the console.
My Favorite Assignments
Here are the Custom Controls I find myself using most:
Fader 0 dB - Sets the selected fader to unity gain with a single tap. Press the button, then select any channel you want at 0 dB.
Scene Recall - Instantly jumps to a saved scene without navigating to the Library screen. Assign one button per service layout so Sunday morning is always one tap away.
DCA Mute - Mutes an entire DCA group instantly. One tap to kill drums, BGVs, or the full band between sets.
Talkback A / Talkback B - I have Talkback A routed to just the band's IEMs for private communication. Talkback B goes to the band and the main PA for addressing the room.
Global Main/Alt - Toggles all channels between main and alternate sources. Useful for virtual soundcheck.
CH Page > [Channel] > EQ - Jumps directly to the EQ page of your most-tweaked channel. Skip the menu navigation entirely.
SD Record / SD Play - Starts recording or playback with one button. No need to navigate away from your mix view.
